About:

For the Denver RTD and DTO Authorities, Penta provided its WavWriter IP based Passenger Information systems.  Each system has redundant control servers, IP based Passenger Information Control workstations, rugged station computers, networked digital amplifiers, DSP based audio processors, zone paging microphones and quality speakers and visual message displays.  For the Light Rail Penta has 63 rail stations and 11 bus transfer stations driving Data Display and Daktronics displays.  For the Eagle Commuter Rail Penta has 21 Station Computers driving Daktronics displays, and for the North Metro Commuter Line Penta has 6 station computers driving Daktronics displays.  Each system interfaces with the Denver Rail and Bus schedule and/or train control system to provide accurate real time arrival and departure information as well as service interruptions and other vital messages to customers using the RTD system.  In addition, users can schedule messages manually and make live/ad-hoc messages through Penta’s easy to use WavWriter Map Console.  All audio is delivered using standards based VOIP and the Denver RTD network.
